Preparing for your medical
A well-prepared visit goes more smoothly. The points below are indicative: the centre or AME will tell you what is expected in your case.
Documents to bring
Depending on your situation, you may be asked for:
- A valid identity document
- Your previous medical certificate, if any
- Your licence or licence number, where applicable
- Your glasses or contact lenses if you wear them
- Relevant medical reports and a list of your medications
- The completed application form, if the centre sent you one
Usual examinations
The content depends on the class and on whether it is an initial or renewal examination. It generally includes:
- An interview and a medical history questionnaire
- A clinical examination
- Vision and hearing tests
- Depending on class and situation, additional tests (for example an electrocardiogram or laboratory tests)
Honest declaration
Your medical history declaration must be complete and accurate. An omission may affect the validity of the certificate. If in doubt, talk to the AME.
No individual medical advice
med4sky does not comment on personal situations. For any question about your fitness, contact an AME or an AeMC.
